OUR CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE:

There are many variables which can affect the quality of a finished skin.

These include

Knowledge of proper handling

 Temperature Extremes

The overall condition of the animal when it is taken.

Despite the fact we use great care and expertise on every skin we receive, we do not guarantee the results of any dressing.

Skins should be fleshed to remove all meat and fat. Lips should be split, ears turned. They should then be salted with a fine grade salt and allowed to drain for several days on an angled rack. A second salting should be done after the skins have drained and then hung up to dry.

Do not ship damp wet skins.

IMPROPERLY SALTED HIDES USUALLY SLIP DURING THE DRESSING PROCESS.

We recommend that small shipments be made by UPS or parcel post; larger shipments should be made with commercial freight lines.

Do not ship in plastic.

We do not accept hides for (hair off) buckskin tanning.

*Some Goat, Sheep & Zebra hides are not processed by us.
